Ingredients:

For the Steak Bites

1 lb (450g) sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

For the Pasta:

12 oz (350g) spaghetti or fettuccine

2 tablespoons butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

For Garnish:

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Extra Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

Cook the pasta:

Pasta should be boiled in salted water until al dente, as directed on the package. Drain pasta and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of water.

Cook the steak bites:

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the steak bites. Brown the steak bits by searing them for two to three minutes on each side. Before removing the steak from the pan, add the butter and toss to coat. Remove off the table.

Prepare the garlic Parmesan sauce:

Butter should be melted over medium heat in the same skillet. If using minced garlic, sauté for approximately 1 minute or until aromatic. Add the heavy cream, mix in the Parmesan, and add the salt, pepper, and chili flakes to taste. Simmer the sauce for two or three minutes, or until it thickens.

Combine pasta and sauce:

Coat the cooked pasta in the creamy sauce by adding it to the skillet and tossing. If the sauce is too thick, add the pasta water you set aside.

Serve:

Arrange the bite-sized meat on top of the noodles. Additional Parmesan and fresh parsley can be used as a garnish. Instantaneous service!

Pro Tips:

To give the sauce a little more depth of flavor, add a splash of white wine.

Add 1/4 cup of cream cheese for a velvety texture.
