Following Navalny Widow’s suspension, X will update its spam filters.

After the widow of late Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny’s account was temporarily blocked, social media site X stated on Tuesday that it will be updating its spam screening algorithms.

“@yulia_navalnaya was mistakenly flagged as violating our rules by our platform’s defense mechanism against manipulation and spam,” X’s Safety account stated in a statement on Tuesday. “We unsuspended the account as soon as we became aware of the error, and will be updating the defense.”

Just one day after Yulia Navalnaya made her intention to carry on her husband’s efforts to combat corruption in Russia public, her account was suspended. After about thirty minutes, her account was restored.

The Anti-Corruption Foundation, which Navalny founded, questioned the suspension in a post that was published on Tuesday morning.

“Hi @elonmusk! Kindly specify whatever rules @yulia_navalnaya broke,” the message said.
